Here is a test entry for the character Eren Jäger from Attack on Titan. I'm thinking of apping him to a game at some point, so I wish to see how I do with him with different people.

His canon point is roughly at the end of 51 of the manga.

She's in duty of babysitting checking to see that he is okay. Well of course he is not okay sleeping in that horrible place while everyone else gets to sleep in (not very) comfortable beds and all that but -- everything considered, no Titans and no sudden changing or anything.

And even if it would technically be someone else's job to do this check up, she dares any normal soldiers to tell her no. No one dares to tell her no unless they're somewhere above her but she doesn't think anyone would tell her no, that kid needs someone to earn his trust here and she's honestly worried about him.

Eren is probably going to not like this first surprise though. Or well, he will but boys in that age probably won't admit it? She's not sure. It's not like Petra knows him well at all. Yet. She is determined to get to know him!

So she arrives and she's calm and friendly while she rambles something usual about their day as she always does. She's calmly approaching him in normal steps while she does that and once she gets close enough, she stops and smiles at him. "But you already knew all of that, didn't you?" Of course he knows, it's not like he hadn't been there all day.

Something that Eren probably doesn't expect is the sudden hug from his new big sister-ish person, but that's what he is getting anyway!

Eren's already getting used to Petra rambling about the day. It's nice to hear from another point of view, since he wasn't present for everything or was too focused on something else to miss other things.

"Well, yeah, but I wasn't there for some of those things, so I missed--" His sentence is interrupted with the sudden hug. It's definitely not what he expected and he freezes. "What? What's wrong?"

She's usually rambling or at least chatting something in a friendly tone most of the time. Hell if she's quiet for too long, someone might think that she's suddenly mute.

And true, he gets to know what happens while he's not there while she's telling about everything. The sudden short silence and the freezing don't surprise Petra at all, it's all what she expects to happen, really, and the words after it make her giggle a little. "Nothing." It's not entirely true but she'll talk about that a little later. What matters is that it sounds genuine and it is, there's nothing wrong with her. "I just don't have to be all official and distant at this time of the day, when no one else is around." Technically she could hug him whenever, she's not sure what would happen after it with everyone else around. She pets his back and hugs him a little tighter. Maybe she should just say fuck it and do this all the time!

Hugging is something he isn't even used to getting from Mikasa or Armin - or if he got hugs it was very rarely. Last time he was unconscious... but that's beside the point. It's weird, getting hugged, so of course he's pretty sure something's wrong!

Except when Petra explains her reasoning, Eren relaxes a little, even if he's still very stiff.

"O-Oh..." It does feel nice though. Having someone hold you in a hug like this. It's a familiar feeling from when he was a kid. It's been such a long time since he was a kid. Petra's too young to be called as a mom-like person, but big sister might just be the right word. Though good luck trying to get him call anyone that. It's embarrassing.

"I'm not used to these kind of things.... sorry."

She would say that they should hug a lot and often with each other (they meaning Eren, Armin and Mikasa) but she doesn't say anything about it. At least not yet. She is glad he relaxes a little, it's a good start!

Some things are better left unsaid, especially when everything else speaks louder than words.

Petra leans her forehead on Eren's forehead and grins.

"It's fine. We'll just make sure you'll get lots of hugs from now on, so then you get used to them..." She is obviously kidding. . . . Maybe.

"Are you hungry? Need anything?"

Preferably something very general of a setting, just to get his normal actions pinned down. That or "is about to do something stupid, please stop him".
