That ... that sure surprises Jean. His face turns immediately red (even his ears are red-ish) and he stares Mikasa in awe. This is the first time he's heard her make such a proclamation towards him.

"Yeah? Prove it then. Make me yours completely."

She doesn't really need to, he's completely hers in all honesty, but hey - he needs to counter that somehow and that was how he did.

There's red on her face too and it's not only because she hides some of it behind her red scarf and her eyes look lost after he speaks.

"... I don't know how to do... That. ...Shouldn't it be like you prove when if I'm saying that? But ummm... you don't... have to ... prove it nor even be mine o-or anything to me if you ... don't ... want to."

She swallows. She looks lonely and sad!! She should probably apologize for saying anything and let him be without her. Maybe she should... Move back to the mountains, stay there alone and not bother anyone anymore!!

O-Oh no. That was a mistake. Jean looks little like he's going to panic, but instead he closes their distance and just throws his arms around her.

"No! I want to. I want to be yours. Sorry I said something so stupid, I just didn't know how to react and I really should have said something much, much better and now I feel silly and-" Deep breathe. "I'm yours. Completely. As long as you're also only mine."

Mikasa feels like the worst person ever when he looks like he might go into panic mode from that. What would she do if that happened? No idea. So she's glad when that doesn't happen, surprised by the sudden hug right now and calming there on the next moment. She is slow to hug back, not because she wouldn't want to but because too surprised to do anything for a moment but she returns the hug slowly soon enough!

"It wasn't stupid, just confusing... you can be my silly dork. " She melts into the hug more and more every time when Jean says 'yours', hugging him tighter by the time he finishes. "I'm yours completely too. No one can change that, I have no what ifs about anything. I only want to be with you."

Jean's glad for the return hug and he sighs in content, petting her hair. The promise of being his makes his heart beat faster and his face turn red - and he just drowns in this feeling.

"That makes me so happy to hear... because I will never have any regrets either. You've always been the one for me."

Mkasa melts into that hug a bit more when he pets her hair. That feels nice, she could get used to that and there'd be more hair to pet too now when she's letting it grow. She smiles at his heartbeat, her own getting faster too. Her arms hug him tighter to get him even closer.

"I think you've always been the one for me too, I just wish I had realized it sooner..." Mikasa leans back enough to nuzzle their noses together. "You and your words make me happy too."

"I'm just happy you realized it", Jean says with a half-smirk. Cocky confidence there shining through. Something about being together with Mikasa brought back the confident youth he was.

The nuzzles makes him amused and he laughs, kissing her nose. "Well, I have a lot of words for you and you only."

Mikasa smiles. Not saying better late than never, this is definitely not too late for them and it's somehow really good to see his confidence again.

She tries to turn that smile into a pout when he kisses her nose, missing her lips. "I want to hear them but not right now..." Not when she's about to kiss his lips unless he'll stop her.

"Oh... well then." Jean closes the distance between their lips for a kiss, making sure it's deep and full of emotions. Full of his love and passion for her.

Mikasa is glad when he closes the distance and she may have not returned the hug immediately but she's doing that with this kss. So passionate!! And so full of love too all the time while their lips move on each other. It's like saying 'I'm completely yours' with those kisses.

That goes on for a long while until it begins slowing down and Mikasa kisses his cheek, all the way to his ear. "Hey, love. Tell me something you've always wanted me to say just for you and I'll say it."

[Cu tries to keep his voice as neutral as possible, but he does have something in mind.

[Hearing Cu speak up like this, she does tilt her head curiously.]

Of course! Is there a reason, or you just felt like it? [They have been working rather hard lately. It should be fine!]

Jean didn't really mind guard duties. Not when he got to be outside in peace and look around. Of course it was nerve-wrecking at times, and he could never properly relax, but most of the time nothing ever happened and he could enjoy the fresh air, at least. Getting stuck inside for guard duty? Worse. Getting stuck in a damn dungeon for it? Worst.

It was Jean's turn to keep watch on Annie's crystal. They were waiting for preparations to be completed for the journey to Shiganshina and they wanted to make sure nothing went wrong. So they wanted to also keep an eye on their prisoner just in case she decided to break out right now on her own.

Jean really doubted that, but orders were orders. He looked at Annie through the crystal to see if there were any movements before huffing and turning away. This was stupid. He might as well be watching paint drying.
