[It's a lazy day, and Dimitri had a rough night. As a result, he and Iri are simply staying in today. Dimitri is lying on the bed, recounting the Tragedy of Duscur for her for the first time.

He recalls how he, his father, his stepmother, and their entourage made their way to the Duscur region to encourage the peace process and the Kingdom's investment in the region, and how they were ambushed along the way. He recounts how his father and his childhood friend, Glenn, were killed before his very eyes, with the latter even sacrificing himself to keep Dimitri alive. He also relays how the people blamed the natives of Duscur afterwards and escalated things to violence against them, despite Dimitri's own protests that they were innocent. And he adds on what he learned recently -- that his stepmother may have been party to the plot.]

...And that isn't all. Ever since that day, I've heard their voices -- those of the people who died that day. They plague me, urging me to take revenge for them, and demanding to know why I haven't done so yet. I imagine they will haunt me for the rest of my life.

[On an empty part of the beach, Athrun and Medusa had set up a picnic date. It's early into the evening, both of them are wearing swimsuits, and the sun has barely just started to set. Their meal is finished, and Athrun tears his gaze away from the slowly setting sun to look over at his date. He's been doing that a lot. But then, Medusa looks breathtaking in her swimsuit, and Athrun is sure he's the envy of the beach right now for being on a date with a woman so shockingly beautiful.
