[ So perhaps Edward was minding his own business at home and not expecting visitors. And yet!! Whenever he gets to the kitchen, he might spot someone who definitely was not there before -- who shouldn't be there. Just casually sitting on the kitchen table, holding his hand up to him in greeting ]
Yo--! Long time no see. Have something for me to eat?
[Having him back in town was amazing. She had been all excited for his return, so much that she could have almost slept her nights at the train station. Well, she hadn't slept there, of course, she had been busy with work and housework. But she did get there early, way before the train arrived, to welcome him back. Then they left his stuff at their (well, it would be theirs officially later) house and he got something to eat, though real food was going to have to wait.
Now she was going to take him shopping for everything they'd need.]
So, what do you want to eat for dinner anyway?
[It never hurt to be prepared, though she was going to take him into a clothing store first.]
[She looks surprised, face red like a tomato, at first. ....And then she smiles, still blushing. But that's just because she was expecting the Anything part, not so much the you make part.]
Then I guess I'll make stew, it's just going to take a while in the oven.
[Nothing is more homemade than that and nothing reminds her of Ed being home more than that.]
[He'll get a huge smile in return for that small one. There's your not-equivalent exchange for you, mister!]
Mm~hm. We also need some basic stuff to the kitchen, a few things for granny, food for Den, and maybe some other things too.
But most importantly - [Walking to a door. How good do you feel about those suits in the window, Ed?] - there's a wedding coming up, so we need clothes for that. Geez, I wish they had invited us earlier, but this should be okay too. [It just might take forever with you, but she's going to stay with you forever anyways, so no problem.]
Maybe. I could triple-check. [...she probably missed a few places while she was checking it.] And it'd probably be easiest if I went there alone anyway.
[you and your puppy look, they work on her ...sometimes.]
I know, I know. You might have even trained more than before. [You know because of the whole fact that you're not running around, doing things with alchemy anymore and bored Ed is not so good company.] So, food shopping and probably some other stuff too it is, then.
[and probably hearing a lot of comments about them together whenever they end up running to people, haha.]
[It's okay, she'll be all red too but that's okay, everything is still great.]
[Yes, she'll take his hand and squeeze it gently into her own. It won't help with the questions, but hey, at least it gets the brightest smile of any smiles ever to her face. which doesn't show on the icon but anyway]
[yelling as he rounds the corner, and then lowering his voice with an apologetic expression, something still low in his voice (concern, worry for his cat):]
—found Arthur yet? [he is so sorry to be bothering ed about his cat, but hard life :(] I thought he'd be in the student council room, but it doesn't look like he's there.
[for the love of whoever, tell him he's not on the roof again.]
[Were you expecting a loud yell of anger and probably familiar feet to be attacking straight toward your face today, Ed? Oooops, maybe not, but she happens to be on one of those train stations along your way to wherever you're going and wow, she doesn't look happy today!]

He lifts his hand as he hears a familiar sound..]
Hey Ling.

Anything you make. It's been so long since I've eaten a good, homemade meal.

Don't I already have a suit... somewhere?
[Please don't drag him to a store like that.]|/small>

I can help you check, once we get home. I'm pretty sure I saw one there...

But that just means you'll get to carry more food, and stuff, if we don't need those!

Sorry, I still haven't... [It's not like he minds helping Suzaku out, it's just that this school is so big and the cat is so small >( ]
Should we just check the roof...?

WHAT THE HELL?! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?
